Guitarist Joe Satriani talks about his forthcoming role in the 2010 Experience Hendrix Tour with ABC Radio’s Andrea Dresdale

To commemorate the release of Jimi Hendrix’s new album Valleys Of Neptune, the April 2010 edition of Guitar World magazine features a striking illustrated image of Jimi Hendrix on its cover. This issue features an in-depth look at the new Valleys Of Neptune album plus instructional videos featuring Joe Satriani and Andy Aledort who walk you through several of Hendrix’s hit songs.

RollingStone.com is reporting that “Valleys Of Neptune,” the lead-single from the forthcoming album of the same name has claimed the Number One spot on the Billboard Singles chart, ahead of artists like Lady Gaga and Sade.

This historic announcement marks Jimi Hendrix’s highest US chart position since 1968’s “All Along The Watchtower” which peaked at #20.

The new album “Valleys Of Neptune”, is set for release on CD and 2LP Vinyl on March 9, 2010. US vinyl to be pressed at RTI’s facility and individually numbered out of 5,000 pieces.
