Jimi’s Music Performed In Concert by All-Star Line-Up This Fall

For the first time in its history, Experience Hendrix, the concert tour that has wowed audiences revisiting the music and inspiration of Jimi Hendrix featuring an all-star line up of music greats will be re-launched within a single calendar year.

This special two-hour portrait of the innovative guitarist reveals the man and the musician as never before. Using Hendrix’s own words to create a unique autobiographical journey, the film features letters, writings, and recordings from Hendrix’s private archive. Plus, fans will thrill to a soundtrack that includes such legendary Hendrix songs as “Purple Haze,” “Hey, Joe,” and “Fire,” plus rare material from live performances, studio recordings, and demos.

Legacy’s next round of titles from the artist Rolling Stone magazine called “the greatest guitarist of all time” will include deluxe editions of Jimi Hendrix Experience: BBC Sessions and Jimi Hendrix: Blues, his legendary Live At Woodstock performance, and Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year, the highly collectible Jimi Hendrix Christmas EP.

Personal items belonging to Jimi Hendrix arrived today accompanied by his sister, Janie Hendrix. The items include a colorful patchwork full-length leather coat, a leather necklace and a leather pouch. These are among the very few of the rock legend’s possessions sent home to his family from his apartment in New York after he died on Sept.

Paul McCartney paid musical tribute to rock and roll legend Jimi Hendrix at the Isle of Wight festival.

The Beatles icon performed a set of Hendrix’s hits, to mark the 40th anniversary of the rocker’s legendary performance at the festival, which was his last major event before he died.

On June 15th “Bleeding Heart” will be released as a 7″ vinyl single in North America. The single is from Valleys of Neptune, which was released earlier this year. The b-side will feature “Jam 292” from the Dagger Record’s release, Hear My Music.
