Record Store Day was conceived in 2007 at a gathering of independent record store owners and employees as a way to celebrate and spread the word about the unique culture surrounding nearly 1,400 independently owned record stores in the U.S.
Pre-order the new Pre-Experience era 7″ vinyl single featuring Jayne Mansfield’s “Suey” and the previously unreleased Ricky Mason single, “I Need You Every Day.” Both songs, recorded in 1966, feature Jimi Hendrix on guitar while he served as a session guitarist for PPX Enterprises.
