Jimi Hendrix: Hear My Train A Comin’ has won an Emmy for Outstanding Sound Mixing For Nonfiction Programming. Congratulations to winners Eddie Kramer and Steve Crook. The live Emmy ceremony will air on tonight, August 25 at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC.
Directed by Bob Smeaton, the Fuse Films/Thirteen’s American Masters-produced documentary provides an in-depth look into the upbringing and expeditious ascent into stardom of one of the most beloved musical personalities of the 20th century. Jimi Hendrix: Hear My Train A Comin’ aired on PBS late last year.
