2019 MARCH/APRIL TOUR WILL BE THE BIGGEST CELEBRATION TO DATE

The Experience Hendrix Tour, the critically acclaimed multi-artist celebration of Jimi Hendrix’s musical genius is returning in 2019 with its biggest ever tour–30 dates through the East Coast, South and Midwest.

Legacy Recordings, Sony Music’s catalog division, today announces a winning assortment of vinyl releases for Record Store Day, to be held “Black Friday” November 23, 2018.

Record Store Day was conceived in 2007 at a gathering of independent record store owners and employees as a way to celebrate and spread the word about the unique culture surrounding nearly 1,400 independently owned record stores in the U.S.

Pre-order the new Pre-Experience era 7″ vinyl single featuring Jayne Mansfield’s “Suey” and the previously unreleased Ricky Mason single, “I Need You Every Day.” Both songs, recorded in 1966, feature Jimi Hendrix on guitar while he served as a session guitarist for PPX Enterprises.

All eight Washington representatives in Congress are supporting legislation to rename the Renton Highlands’ USPS post office in honor of Jimi Hendrix.

Rep. Adam Smith introduced a bill that proposes the post office at 4301 NE 4th Street in Renton be named “James Marshall ‘Jimi’ Hendrix Post Office Building.”
