Personal items belonging to Jimi Hendrix arrived today accompanied by his sister, Janie Hendrix. The items include a colorful patchwork full-length leather coat, a leather necklace and a leather pouch. These are among the very few of the rock legend’s possessions sent home to his family from his apartment in New York after he died on Sept. 18, 1970. Though Hendrix’s father asked that all of his son’s belongings be sent home to Seattle, including a hundred guitars, scant few arrived.

Paul McCartney paid musical tribute to rock and roll legend Jimi Hendrix at the Isle of Wight festival. The Beatles icon performed a set of Hendrix's hits, to mark the 40th anniversary of the rocker's legendary performance at the festival, which was his last major event before he died. Tens of thousands of fans went crazy as the 67-year-old took to the stage, reported Daily Mail online.
On June 15th "Bleeding Heart" will be released as a 7" vinyl single in North America. The single is from Valleys of Neptune, which was released earlier this year. The b-side will feature "Jam 292" from the Dagger Record's release, Hear My Music.
