Opening day at The NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA saw Marshall Amplification PLC unveil its highly touted - Limited Edition Hand Wired Super100-JH stack. It will be limited to 600 pieces worldwide, celebrating the company's association with Jimi Hendrix. The all-valve heads and accompanying 4x12 cabinets have been crafted to recreate the exact sound and look associated with Jimi Hendrix in 1966/67.

(ANAHEIM, CA - January 25, 2006) - We all remember that classic tone of the Rockin' Sixties. It's a tone made famous by Guitar Gods like Jimi Hendrix, Pete Townshend and Eric Clapton. While the sound always starts with the guitar, it's the Amp, which the guitar's sound must travel through, that is often considered the guitarist's secret weapon.

To recreate this spectacular commemorative marvel, Jim Marshall and his R&D team traveled the globe in search of prime examples of original Super100s from the 1966/67 period. During their travels they also examined a number of amps originally owned by Jimi himself. The final results are simply stunning, with vintage tones and looks that have been hailed as indubitably authentic by notable musicians and studio engineers. As Marshall explain – “Our goal was both obvious and simple, … make it identical to the 1966 made original. To this end the circuit, cosmetic construction, sound and all-important dynamic characteristics all had to be 100% correct - and they are. We went to incredible lengths to achieve maximum authenticity and are delighted to report that our suppliers were equally as passionate."

Unveiling the Super100-JH Stack to the US public, Victoria Marshall, (Jim Marshall's daughter), Managing Director of Marshall Amplification PLC and Experience Hendrix's Janie L. Hendrix were joined by guitarists Yngwie Malmsteen, Andy Aledort, studio engineer Eddie Kramer and Korg USA’s US Product Manager for Marshall Amplification, Nick Bowcott. The limited edition, hand-wired, Super100-JH commemorative stack will be available soon.
