Recognized as the name behind all the posthumous Jimi Hendrix CD and DVD releases since 1995, Experience Hendrix ventured into field of producing and releasing non-Hendrix artists in 2001 with the release of Eric Gales wildly popular That’s What I Am (Experience Hendrix/MCA Records). Fast forward two years and the Experience Hendrix imprint has released a series of different music and video projects for some of the world's greatest Blues artists -- covering the likes of Albert King, Freddie King, Sonny Boy Williamson and a host of others with a series of releases slated for release in commemoration of The Year Of The Blues.

Starting on August 26, 2003 Experience Hendrix in association with Reeling In The Years and Universal Music Enterprises launched the Experience Hendrix imprint with three sensational documents comprising nearly 3 hours of historic performances capturing the world's most recognized Blues artists in the prime of their craft. The American Folk Blues Festival 1962-1966 presents a series of never before seen blues performances to be released on DVD and CD.

American Folk Blues Festival 1962-1966, Volumes 1 and 2 feature 36 previously unseen live in-studio performances by such blues legends as Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, Sonny Boy Williamson, John Lee Hooker and Willie Dixon playing alongside other blues great such as T-Bone Walker, Lightnin’ Hopkins, Memphis Slim, Big Mama Thornton and many others.

Since the release of American Folk Blues, Experience Hendrix has released two follow up Blues DVD's in the new Blues Legends series. The first release, Blues Legends: Freddie King Live In Europe presented a 67 minute film capturing Freddie King on stage during three European concerts in 1973 and 1974 including never before released footage from such memorable appearances as the 1973 Montreux Jazz Festival.

In addition to the Freddie King release, Experience Hendrix released disc two in the series featuring performances by Albert King. Blues Legends: Albert King Live In Sweden presents King on a Swedish concert stage in 1980. This 58-minute film presentes previously unseen material and is an important addition to any Blues fan's collection.

Experience Hendrix was also responsible for the release of a very special project of previously unreleased studio and live recordings by Jimi Hendrix Experience bassist Noel Redding. The Experience Sessions was released in late 2003 following the tragic passing earlier in the year. Experience Hendrix and Redding had been working together on the project's release in early 2003, but the project was delayed following his passing.

These bright new beginnings for Experience Hendrix point to an exciting new direction for this music imprint. Be sure to visit this site regularly for the latest news, events, and previews of forthcoming releases.
